This hybrid skate represents a wholly new skate principle.
The skater is shaping freely his track. The enormous lean angle of up to 40 degrees allows for an efficient acceleration.
The patented lean-dependent steering truck mechanism produces a rectifying effect which is felt by the skater as if he or she stands stably upright.
The rectifying effect depends on the speed. Technically speaking, the steering mechanism has a built-in parameter that defines the speed at which full stability is attained. This speed is called 'design speed'. Most fun and ease of movement is experienced at a velocity near that speed. However the useful speed range is from zero to about 1.5 the design speed.
Model 1.1 is furnished with exchangeable trucks. By reversing the rear truck a second speed range comes into effect. Narrowly carving properties, average speed slaloming or widely cut curving during fitness runs are available according to the day-to-day choice of the user.
Asymmetric steering (patent pending) means that the outer leg performs a 30 cm wider curve than the inner leg thus avoiding track crossing.
